Mercari Seller Calculators

Free calculators for Mercari sellers. Mercari restructured its fees on January 6, 2025 — sellers now pay a flat 10% selling fee and no separate payment processing fee, which makes the math simpler than most marketplaces but easy to get wrong in one specific way.

That way is shipping: the 10% applies to the item price plus any shipping the buyer pays, not the item alone. Charge $8 shipping on a $40 item and Mercari's fee is calculated on $48. These calculators account for that so your expected payout matches the real one.

Note: Rates shown are for US sellers on listings created or updated on or after January 6, 2025. Older listings that have never been updated may still use the previous fee structure.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Mercari take per sale?
A flat 10% selling fee on the item price plus any buyer-paid shipping. On a $40 item with free shipping that is $4.00, leaving you $36.00. There is no separate seller payment processing fee since January 6, 2025.
Does Mercari charge a payment processing fee?
Not to sellers, not since January 6, 2025. The old 2.9% + $0.50 processing fee was removed when Mercari moved to the flat 10% structure. The 3.6% Buyer Protection fee that exists now is charged to the buyer at checkout and does not reduce your payout.
Is Mercari cheaper than eBay or Poshmark?
For most items yes. Mercari's flat 10% sits well below eBay's 13.6% plus per-order fee and Poshmark's 20% on sales of $15 and up. Depop is cheaper still for US sellers since it charges no selling fee at all.
Are Mercari listings free?
Yes. Listing is free and unlimited — you only pay the 10% when an item sells.
