The two-fee structure
Whatnot charges sellers in two separate steps. First, a commissionon the item's sale price — the rate depends on category, with most items at 8%, Coins & Money at a lower 4%, and Electronics at 5%. Second, a payment processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30, which is standard card-processing pricing — but unlike commission, it's charged on everything the buyer paid, not just the item.
Worked example: $50 item, most-category, $0 shipping

What Whatnot doesn't charge for
There is no listing fee, no monthly subscription to sell, and no charge for hosting a live show. You only pay when an item actually sells — the commission and processing fee above are the entire fee structure.
